Could God be calling you to assist us here at Global Youth Ministry? There are many different opportunities to serve available, have a look through some of the Volunteer Opportunities below.

Now you may be wondering, what exactly is a Mission Internship? What will they do? What will the schedule look like? Where will they serve? How do I apply? GREAT QUESTIONS….let’s get started on answering these right now!

What is a Mission Intern?

A Global Youth Camp Mission Intern is a high school grad or college student who joins one of our two summer intern teams as a SUMMER MISSIONARY ready to focus specifically on serving the students and youth pastors of the churches that come to camp during the summer.  These teams will be specifically focused on pouring into students and helping to keep all aspects of camp functioning.  Our desire is to reach the youth of the world starting in our own country and this is a great opportunity for you to spend your summer with Global Youth Ministry focused specifically on doing just that!

What will a Mission Intern do?

A Global Youth Camp Mission Intern’s main focus is the stateside camp and/or project at hand.  We desire to serve our youth pastors and students well and require dedicated team leaders ready and willing to assist in this endeavor. Youth Pastors and campers are one of our main focal points.  It is our desire to help train youth in leading opportunities so that they might understand and be willing to take a step in their own youth group to lead. By meeting a need, they will have the opportunity to not only give blessings but receive as well. The Global Mission Intern Team desires to disciple and train up the next generation to prepare for leading in the areas they are placed in by giving potential leaders the opportunity to lead other students in small group settings. Many times we will have opportunities to witness, but have someone unable to listen.  We will have chances to lead, but it may not be on a stage but rather behind the scenes.  These opportunities stateside will prepare our own hearts and also the hearts of our campers that when God places us in a position to lead, it does not always go according to our plan but always His.

When would I be needed?

The summer camp season begins late May and the season ends in early August.

Where do they serve?

The short answer: the Southeast United States.  The long answer: Global Youth Camps are located at our home base in Chatsworth, GA where we have camps for 8 weeks out of the summer.  We have also served in many travel locations including: Melrose, FL; Talladega, AL; Black Mountain, NC; and more. God has placed us here on this earth to preach the word and carry it to all nations.  Global Summer Mission Interns pour into the students and youth pastors, as true SUMMER MISSIONARIES, so they may rise up and be the next Paul as they begin their journey with Jesus.  The summer spent pouring out your life will forever make an impact on not only those you pour into, but the Lord moves mountains in your own life as well. It will change your perspective and might even alter your future.  We believe the experience spent serving and leading stateside will only prepare the intern to lead well in other places as well.  We have witnessed and will continue to witness God make the impossible POSSIBLE and truly believe that when you allow other people to join your mission of serving the Lord, He supplies everything that is needed.
