Now you may be wondering, what exactly is a Sumer Mission Internship? What will they do? What will the schedule look like? Where will they serve? How do I apply? GREAT QUESTIONS….let’s get started on answering these right now!
What is a Mission Intern?
A Global Youth Camp Mission Intern is a high school graduate or college student who joins our team as a SUMMER MISSIONARY ready to focus specifically on serving the students and youth pastors of many churches that come to camp during the summer. Mission interns are team leaders who serve your youth group by helping them with scripture memory, leading worship, guiding them through different track times, praying over them and with them, helping them with their spiritual growth and being a good stewaard of God’s love to youth! This is a different aspect of Kingdom work and ministry that is unlike anywhere else!
Why serve as a Mission Intern?
God has placed us here on this earth to preach the word and carry it to all nations. Global Summer Mission Interns pour into the students and youth pastors. The summer spent pouring out your life will forever make an impact on not only those you pour into, but the Lord moves mountains in your own life as well. It will change your perspective and hopefully alter your future. The experience spent serving and leading prepares the interns to lead outside of Global Youth Ministry. God is working in powerful ways, witnessing all He is doing and continues to do is something so special! He makes the impossible POSSIBLE! He is a provider, deliverer and just, to give us all that we need and lead us where we need to go, are you being obedient to where God is calling you?
What will a Mission Intern do?
A Summer Mission Intern main focus is being able to do the work of the Kingdom that God calls us to! Mission Interns have many different opportunities that allow spiritual growth and leadership qualities to develop. Such as leading teams, leading track times, having a part in our drama throughout the entire week, being a worship leader, helping with recreational games, and most importantly doing the best they can to help with students spiritual growth! Interns have first-hand impact of the youth today to look past themselves to be able to truly witness what God is doing in today’s youth! These opportunities will prepare interns hearts and also the hearts of our campers that when God places us in a position to lead, it does not always go according to our plan but always His!
