Wow, I feel like my heart is overflowing!  God has poured out His blessing on me lately and I have seen His hand working all around me.

This past weekend, I got to participate in a Momentum conference with Global.  It was a good time where a youth group got to examine themselves and their group before God.  God is bringing a fresh wind into this group, with several salvations and I have a feeling He isn't done bringing changes to this group!

Yesterday, I spoke to my former youth pastor.  We're very close in age and are close friends.  We're well into a conversation when he tells me, "When you get back from Kenya, we'll have a couple of five month olds."  I was dumbfounded.  I am so happy for them.  Twins!

Please pray for me as I spend the next week and a half getting ready to leave for Kenya!

To all of you who have been praying for me during this time of preparation, thank you so much.  I have big news.  Today, I sent off my travel visa application and then (gasp) I bought my airline ticket!

I am leaving for Nairobi on March 12th.  I depart out of Chicago and head to London.  I'll be in London for 13 hours so I'll probably be able to do some SIGHTSEEING!  I am very excited, because I've always wanted to go to London.

I arrive in Nairobi on March 13th.  That's only a few weeks away.  Keep praying!

Wow, it seems like only yesterday that the fundraising portion of my Mentorship preparation seemed to be an insurmountable obstacle.  Now, I am so very close to meeting my budgetary goals!

I had a call yesterday from a friend at a church in Florida.  In January, I had the blessing of being able to share what God is doing in my life and what He is up to in Kenya with this church.  They are taking up a love offering for me this week and even match the gifts out of the church budget!  Awesome!

Also, my cell group from Florida is putting on a yard sale to benefit me tommorow.  The fact that they have been so supportive of me and have gone to great lengths to help me is indescribably amazing. 

Wow, it seems like a lot has happened at once!  In the past couple of weeks, God has loosed the purse strings of heaven and I have received a lot of money in a short period of time.  I am now within about $1000 of having my entire budget in place or pledged!  Please pray that this final money comes through soon.

Also, I am about to set my final departure date! (I know I'm using a lot of exclamation points, but I'm so excited! )  It's looking like my departure could be as soon as March 5th.  Pray that God will guide me as to what day I should leave.
